Sabaton buckle and weight
My foot wear before the sabaton project:
Note the weight in ounces. Here's my foot wear after the sabaton project, also with the weight in ounces:
So yeah, MUCH nicer, and a bit lighter. I have to play with the articulation a little. I was wearing them around the house a bit tonight and noticed the right toe has a small tendency to droop and snag a little on the carpet. I tightened it up a bit already, but I need to keep an eye on it.
You can see the buckle riveted on here, and the bit at the end of the strap where I ran out of red dye.
