Who are the people in your neigborhood?

Gaston would be somewhere in the feudal structure beneath Philip the Bold, pictured here as a young man. The king of France at the time is Charles VI, (Charles the Mad). The Navarese would probably call him "El Loco" if he was more gangsta, and didn't believe from time to time that he was made of glass.

I'm really drawn to his son, John the Fearless (pictured to the left) for various odd reasons. He was intensely martial, leading the Nicopolis crusade. He was brutal in his hatred and his politics. Yet he was a patron of the arts, and had a deep appreciation for symbolism. Oh, and giant hats.
